| "What's today?" "Today." "Yeah, but the date..?" "The fourth." "OF WHAT MONTH?!" "The FOURTEENTH!!! I have multiple things to blather on about today, kiddies.
First off! Today during my first class, a friend and I were having a rather random, yet mind-thumping, conversation about...BATHING SUITS. Yes, loves. Bathing suits. We both came to the same point. How is a two-piece bathing suit any different from a bra and panties? Really! Other than the fact that it doesn't hold water when you're in it and so on, there's not much difference. Think about it though. When we see girls in their bra and panties in a photo, we all usually automatically think "WHORE" or "SLUT" or something of the like. But when we see a gal in her two-piece bathing suit, neither word comes to mind. Isn't it extraordinary that one word(or two)can change how we see people in certain things? I know, oddly random, but it got us to thinking so now I've left it for you to think about. Chew on it. :]
The next thing that I would like to talk about is my last post. In it I was kind of searching for a reason to have a blog. I was saying that I really didn't have many interesting things to update on daily and in that, this blog was a total waste. Is a total waste. I've just thought of something. Couldn't I have a book site? Stay with me now. I'm really into books. I've even tried to write some, gotten distracted, and stopped, but I have made the effort. I'm always reading something. I know I'm biased on authors that I read and all, but the authors that I do read are really rather good. Some people have never heard of half of the books I've read! Some thing that To Kill A Mockingbird doesn't sound like a good book when in reality it is such a wonderful read!!! I couldn't put the book down, literally! It just saddens me that some people are missing out on fabulous literature by reading Teen Vogue or just random other magazines or even just reading books that are meant for 3rd graders when you're an 11th grader just trying to pass the time. You should pass the time with something more substantial! I want to be able to provide people with titles, authors.
Yes, this is quite a random thing to go off on, but what got me to thinking about it was this site I visit daily. The Coveted. She posts about fashions and just how fashion is her life. Actually, right now she's moving to Europe with her boyfriend so that he can go to school and all and is actually selling lots of her things. Last time I checked there were four pairs of shoes for sale, none with bids. They are just fabulous!! If I had size 7 feet I'd be bidding in a second! Alas, I do not. I've mammoth feet. :[ But either way!
But yes, I'm going to start thinking about maybe doing that Book Nook thing. I'm sure people have already thought of this, but that just gives you more places to go for book information, yeah?
Have a nice day, kids!

| What to say, what to say...I'm not sure what to say on here anymore. When I first created this site, I had an idea of what I was going to say. I thought I would make this blog about things that happened in my life, daily updates. I soon realized that my days are just not interesting enough to update about daily! That'd be excruciating to come up with something interesting in a day where the most interesting thing I did was to cuss a teacher out in my head. So in response to not having anything to update on, I've just stopped even trying to update. At least before I tried to find things to update about, even if they were completely boring and would probably never be seen by any eyes other than the random few who might happen upon this page. Now I don't update at all and even when I do update, I leave the entry up for less than 2 days, read over it, and delete it. I should find some purpose for this blog being as my thoughts are not profound enough to fill an entry, catch the eyes of the world. I'll come up with something sometime soon hopefully. This is probably one of the more boring blogs of this site...which is a really hard thing to accomplish!

| How did you get your first job? If you’re not there now, why not?My first job was at a hometown pizzeria called Rod's Pizzeria. Of course, Rod was the owner of the place and was absolutely horrible at it. He should never have gotten into the food business as he has no tolerance for slip-ups. No compassion even. It's ridiculous. Rod's is about five blocks away from my house, within walking distance, and is located on Main Street right across from Fagen's Pharmacy. I'm not there now because last Christmas(2006) I was fired. Why, you might ask. The reason that Rod gave me was because I was too immature for the job. Let it be known that I was 15 at the time. Besides that, my co-workers argued with that, not to Rod of course, but amongst ourselves and they were all in full agreement that I was probably the most mature of the bunch working there. Insanity. I mean, yes, I know I had a few meltdowns while working there, like the pen incident, but that doesn't account for being fired. Especially since nobody saw the incident!!!! I was literally the only one working at that time. Annoying! So after I was fired, Rod said something and I happened to catch it. He said something like, "Yeah, and there's going to be LOTS of changes around here soon. Very soon." I asked him about this and he just said that there would be new faces around there pretty soon. I just kept what I thought to myself, thanked him for the opportunity at a job even though it didn't work out and left. He told me that I should consider going back when I was 16. Like the number of years I've been on this earth would really affect my maturity level. I walked outside and Kenzie(neighbor and friend)was there to pick me up with her boyfriend. I told them what had happened, warned Kenzie about the warning that Rod had giving me whether he had intended to do so or not, and she and Chris(her boyfriend)went on to discount everything about why Rod had fired me. They were both utterly confused about why he would think I was immature. I told them about the pen incident and they both said that if I was the only one working right then it shouldn't matter. The next day, Kayla(my cousin and co-worker)was fired. No reason. They just fired her. Another day and Brooke(co-worker)was also fired. Before they could fire Kenzie, she quit. Rod now had only 1 worker, not including himself. He ended up hiring a bunch of gals that didn't really need a job. Their daddy's could buy anything for them and they usually did. This is where my first job was and why I'm no longer there. [Kim] | | |
